Who I Am
I’ve been flying since 1993, licensed since 1994. Since then, I have collected ratings in multi-engine airplanes, helicopters, and gliders, and carry an A&P mechanic license. I’ve been a physician since 2007, so, as you can tell, flying came first.
At this point, I’ve flown nearly 5,000 hours, collected lots of “There I was” stories, gotten to know a whole bunch of really great aviators, and still am as in love with flying as the day I started.
I hope I can help you become a better, more proficient pilot, and help you avoid some of the pitfalls that you might otherwise encounter.
My other job is as an anesthesiologist, which is as safety-oriented as aviation, so there’re lots of overlaps between my two careers. I hope lessons I’ve learned as a physician can also help you as a pilot.
